We at photo-canvas make everything in-house which means from the moment we receive your order we are able to start work immediately. What this means for you is that all our standard size canvas prints ordered before 2pm will be dispatched the same day.

We use two couriers for delivery in the UK: Royal Mail and City-Link. All our smaller canvas prints (60cm x 40cm and smaller) and anything weighing less than 2kg is sent via Royal Mail 1^st Class Reordered, which is a next day service but not always guaranteed. Anything larger and weighing more than 2kg we send with City-Link using a guaranteed next working day service.

Things To Watch Out for When Buying Photo Canvas

It's not always easy to decide who is best, what method is best, and what the differences are between different canvas printing suppliers, but for what it's worth we would recommend that you check the following.

Is the print on real woven canvas? If not it won't stretch.
Does the canvas come with wedges? If not you can't maintain the stretch
Is the print GUARANTEED not to crack on the edges? Ours comes with a lifetime guarantee
Are the frames anti warping? Ours are.

Dye Sublimation Canvas Printing

We use dye-sublimation because it gives a great permanent print on real canvas as opposed to what most canvas printer suppliers offer - solvent based ink jet prints on plastic coated canvas. They just don't stand up to our quality requirements (the scratch, scuff, get damaged by water etc). Dye sublimation means the DPI (dots per inch) are beaten hands down by our continuous tone printing. Our print is fixed as a gaseus transfer deep into the fibres of our real woven canvas. Fibre deep prints are best because the ink does not sit on the surface where it becomes flakey.

Large Canvas Prints

Large scale canvas prints are hard to find and produce, but here at Photo-Canvas we have the ability to make from 30x30cm right up to 150cm x 500cm or bigger if required.

The quality of print remains perfect and the construction is a mini engineering project to balance size with the required strength. We would build a frame with multiple cross bar support to the rear to make sure the print is taut and true with wedges so maintain the stretch too.
